Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
ISAM Startup Group ("we," "us") operates a members-only collaboration network for in-space assembly & manufacturing companies. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it. Contact: hello@isamgroup.space.
2. Information we collect
- Account data: name, email, and profile from your sign-in provider (e.g. GitHub) when you create an account.
- Company & membership data: company name, tier, team members, and the API/dataset listings you publish.
- Agreement & export-control data: information you submit when accepting the NDA — legal entity name, signatory details, country of incorporation, and Foreign Ownership Disclosure responses.
- Payment data: handled by our processor (Stripe). We never store full card numbers; we retain a customer/subscription reference and billing status.
- Usage & logs: access to export-controlled listings is logged (who, what, when) for compliance recordkeeping, along with standard technical logs.
3. How we use it
To provide and secure the network; to operate memberships and billing; to enforce export-control acknowledgments and maintain the required audit trail; to screen parties against denied-party lists; to communicate with you about your account; and to comply with legal obligations.
4. Service providers we share with
We share data only as needed with the vendors that run the platform:
- Stripe — payments and billing.
- Vercel — hosting.
- Neon — database.
- Sign-in provider (e.g. GitHub) — authentication.
- Slack — community access, if you join.
- U.S. Government trade data (CSL) — denied-party screening lookups.
5. Retention
We keep account and membership data while your account is active. Export-control access records are retained for at least five (5) years to meet U.S. export recordkeeping requirements. Executed NDAs and their disclosures are retained as long as the confidentiality obligations run.
6. Your choices
You may access or update your account information, cancel your membership, or request deletion of personal data (subject to records we must retain by law). Email hello@isamgroup.space.
7. Security
Access to the platform requires authentication, controlled data is gated and logged, and secrets are stored in environment configuration — not in our code. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
8. Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be posted here with a revised date.
